DUE TO THE COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK,

THE GIRLS’ BRIGADE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The  Girls’ Brigade was formed in 1968 but its roots actually go back 120  years to the establishment of The Girls’ Guildry in Glasgow in 1900. The Girls’ Brigade offers a four sided programme – Spiritual, Physical, Education and Service – tailor  made for each age range, offering awards based on skills and activities where  girls can attain a sense of achievement based on individual capabilities.

The aim of The Girls’ Brigade is “to help girls  become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self control, reverence  and a sense of responsibility, find true enrichment of life.” The  motto of The Girl’s Brigade is “Seek, Serve and Follow Christ” and the emblem is recognisable throughout the world.

Burnhead Parish Church is home to the 1st Burnhead Company of The Girls’ Brigade.
